Miami Column Project

Commission By Request

Most people look at structural columns as something to minimize and make less noticeable because most are oversized and obstruct views. New York based artist Ronen Azulay turned this challenge around by featuring the column in this Miami pied-a-terre. He created a mural with all the color and elements that Miami evokes. Instead of inhibiting a stunning water view “Paraiso” enhances it by spotlighting Miami’s natural beauty. This labor of love was inspired by Miami’s Art Deco roots, interrupted with Geometric Expressionism and is richly hand painted dense with textures all found locally such as leaves, flowers, bay and ocean water, sand and sky.
